Boots 2014-2015: Runway Trends You Will Absolutely Love

There is only one obsession a fashionista can have that is even bigger than shoes obsession – it is being fascinated by boots. Have you been wondering what the trendiest boots 2014-2015 are? Have you been dutifully checking runway shows to have a grasp of the boot trends for the 2014-2015 season? I hear you – there are so many Fall-Winter 2014-2015 that is almost close to impossible to check them all out. This is why you will love this post! It presents the trendiest boots 2014-2015 – right from the runway shows. Let the boots obsession begin!

Boots 2014-2015 – Lace Up Boots

Really tall lace up boots have been featured by many world’s designers in their Fall-Winter 2014-2015 collections. There are many variations to lace up boots 2014: they can be more on the masculine side – similar to the ones in Calvin Klein collection. Running shoes have evolved into lace up boots we have seen at Chanel fashion show. If you are more into feminine style, Antonio Berardi’s boots 2014 may appeal to your taste. Boots from Antonio Berardi collection actually combines two boot trends 2014 in one: they are above-the-knee and laced up.

Boots 2014-2015 – Above-The-Knee-Boots

Really tall boots have been trending since last season, and it looks like they continue to dominate the runways. We have seen the variations of above-the-knee boots in collections like Alexander Wang, Blumarine, Betsey Johnson, Just Cavalli and Topshop Unique. I would leave  Betsey Johnson’s tall satin boots for runways and stage performaces only.  Topshop Unique boots (the black ones), on the other hand, are totally wearable. Personally, I am in love with Blumarine tall boots, especially the ones in white color – so chic and stylish!

Boots 2014-2015 – Slouchy Boots

Slouchy boots are the ones that do not really cling – they give a great amount of freedom and space to your legs. We have seen numerous slouchy boots in Rag& Bone, Topshop Unique, Emilio Pucci, Chloe and Acne Studios Fall-Winter 2014-2015 collections. Slouchy boots are promising to be huge for this upcoming season. While in Rag& Bone the wideness of the boots has been taken to an extreme, in other collections the boots are only wide at the edge. Wide boots visually make your legs look thinner. And isn’t it something that almost everyone of us wouldn’t mind?

Boots 2014-2015 – Fur Boots

Fur boots are also going to be one of the trendiest boots 2014-2015. Acne Studios presented the monochromatic boots, as well as boots with animal print. Fur boots with animal print were one of the strongest pieces of Emilio Pucci collection. Fendi collection has also featured some extraordinary fur boots 2014.

Fashion Tips: How to Choose Your Own Unique Style. Part 1:Dramatic Style

How To Define Yourself? Each one of us is different. Let's us enjoyed our differences.

Fashion Tips: How to Choose Your Own Unique Style. Part 1:Dramatic Style

In this series of posts on how to choose your own unique style I am going to share with you a concept which I read about. The main idea of this concept is that your face and the main features of your appearance can give you cues on what style fits you the best. Of course, as any concept, this one is not impeccable. There are may be some ladies which, after reading about all 6 styles, may still be unsure if any of the described styles can suit them really well. At the same time, this concept can help you realize what direction you should be moving when it comes to clothes shopping and dressing up. Moreover, the beginning of the year may be as well the beginning of discovering  the new you and your new unique style which suits you the best! Let’s get started. There are 6 major style directions a woman can choose:

1. Dramatic Style;
2. Naïve Romantic Style;
3. Natural Style;
4. Classic Style;
5. Intricate Romantic Style;
6. Sporty Style.

You may think – there is nothing new – we have heard of all these styles, and have probably tried all of them already. You are absolutely right! The truth is that we do not need “to invent the bicycle” again. The trick here is to recognize which style suits us the best, and take that style direction for creating telling and unforgettable looks. Since there are many examples of these styles among celebs, we will be looking of how especially well some of them recognized and adopted the styles that suit their faces and appearances!

Candidates for dramatic style will be ladies with noticeable appearances.  This type of ladies has something which makes their faces difficult to forget. The face proportions may not necessarily be ideal; they may have bigger than usual noses or lips – some features which make them really stand out! They are beautiful, they are striking and they make the heads turn.

The main attributes of this style are: sexiness, luxury, lavishness and staginess. The first thing that comes to my mind when I try to describe this style is “lady vamp” – dangerous due to her wild nature, but extremely attractive and unforgettable.

Rich and luxurious colors such as red, orange, dark emerald, burgundy, purple and black will suit dramatic style really well. Among materials for clothing are lace, velvet, satin, silk, fur and leather. Contrasting color blocking is something that also suits this style. Dramatic ladies will flourish on contrasts in their outfits; for example, combining something romantic, such as silk dress with something masculine, such as leather jacket. Think bold and luxurious clothing, if you identified your style as “dramatic”. Do not be afraid to wear bright makeup which accentuates your beauty.

To give you a full picture of what dramatic style is all about, let’s talk celebrities. Angeline Jolie is the one whom dramatic style suits really well.

I am pretty sure that you can continue this list on your own!

I hope you will find this information useful – especially if your style is dramatic, but you have been “hiding” under pastel color clothing and neutral makeup! Stay tuned for my upcoming post on how to find your unique style – we will take a closer look at another style – naïve romantic.

Fashion Tips: How to Rock Leggings with Your Body Type

 I'm in love with leggings. How about you?

Fashion Tips: How to Rock Leggings with Your Body Type
If you have been wondering whether women of all body types can wear leggings, then you are not alone – I have been pondering the same topic myself.  I am excited to share with you that the answer is “yes”. Leggings can look chic and stylish on gals with different body shapes – the trick is to know how to dress for your body type. I have stumbled upon a great article “Leggings tips for all body types” at www.sheknows.com. Whether you are hourglass-shaped or pear-shaped, whether you are petite or tall, keep reading to find out some crucial information on what to wear with leggings.
If you are tall then leggings are your best friend, and I will tell you why. Petite women can usually wear mini dresses without looking too exposed. Well this is not the case for tall gals – I speak from my own experience, and I always feel that a mini dress is too revealing for me. If you ever feel too self-conscious wearing a short dress, then pairing that dress with leggings can really help. You can also wear shirt dresses and tunic dresses with leggings. You see how much freedom a pair of leggings can give to a tall girl?

How to Rock Leggings with Your Body Type

If you are petite then you can go for a pair of jean leggings (jeggings) with riding boots. A pair of ankle booties is also an option – just make sure that the color of your footwear is close to the color of your jeggings – this will elongate your silhouette.

If you are hourglass-shaped then you can pair your leggings with belted tunics – this will accentuate your waist and you feminine figure. You can go for one-colored tunic or a tunic with a small print. Avoid wearing printed top and printed leggings at the same time.

How to Rock Leggings with Your Body Type

If you are pear-shaped do not be afraid to wear leggings. You can wear leggings with tunic dresses – either bright-colored or printed to draw more attention to your upper body. Pair your tunic dress with a classy or jeans jacket or cardigan. Of course, make sure that your tunic is long enough to cover the buttocks and hips.

Dressing for your body type is the key to looking elegant and beautiful. It is also a skill that anyone can acquire – with the right information on hand and lots of experimenting!
